Snow skiing, water-skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, singing around the fire at the campground...it's all right here. Thousands of acres of public lands are administered by the Routt, Araphaho/Roosevelt and White River National Forests, Bureau of Land Management and the State of Colorado.

KREMMLING IS RECREATION! The Routt, Arapaho/Roosevelt and White River National Forests , Bureau of Land Management and state lands surrounding Kremmling offer a variety of year-round outdoor recreational experiences.
In the spring and summer, miles of hiking, mountain biking and horseback trails provide various levels of experience from relatively flat and easily accessible terrain to steep and remote routes. There are developed U.S. Forest Service campgrounds located nearby in the beautiful Williams Fork Valley, in the Gore Range, at Green Mountain and Wolford Reservoirs, and on Gore Rabbit Ears Passes. The Williams Fork Boardwalk, located at Sugarloaf Campground, offers the physically challenged access to the river and beaver ponds for fishing and sight-seeing.
Recently opened Wolford Mountain Reservoir offers a boat ramp and campground just six miles north of Kremmling.

The Bureau of Land Management manages many miles of land adjacent to the Colorado River stretching below the town of Kremmling where rafting and kayaking enthusiasts can find their niche. River access points and semi-developed/primitive campsites are also available.
The Middle Park area is blessed with a wide variety of trout fishing opportunities to satisfy anyone's preference whether it be reservoirs, Gold Medal fishing on the Colorado and Blue Rivers, tributary streams or high country lakes.

Autumn brings rich color to Middle Park as the aspen begin turning to fall dress. Favorite outdoor activities include sight-seeing, photography and wildlife watching. The fall marks the beginning of superb hunting. Various game species found on public lands include mule deer, elk, grouse, ducks, geese and bear.
Winter brings abundant snow and a whole different variety of outdoor opportunities. Miles of cross-country skiing and snowmobile routes beckon the winter recreationist.
Both the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management have offices located in the Town of Kremmling where visitors can obtain information and purchase maps and permits.
