West Grand School District enrolls approximately
560 students in three schools located in Kremmling. The community
and staff maintain a high level of support through participation
in school activities and the West Grand Community Education Foundation.
Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extra curricular activities. Boys and girls in grades 7-12 participate in a strong athletic program which includes football, basketball, track, wrestling and volleyball. A School-to-Career program is now in full operation, offering students apprenticeships or internships in 50% of the local businesses. Plans are to expand the program to give even more students opportunities "in the field." Kremmling is proud of the West Grand School System. Facilities are excellent and provide a pleasant atmosphere. Highly qualified teachers provide effective classroom instruction in a personal, caring manner. |
Kremmling's Chamber of Commerce was established
in 1989 and enjoys a 75% membership from the local businesses.
In addition to encouraging diversified business growth and managing
the Visitor's Center, the Chamber sponsors such activities as
the nationally recognized Road Kill Supper during hunting season,
the Christmas in the Park celebration and Kremmling Days in June. A wide range of churches and an abundance
of civic, social and service organizations are active in the
Kremmling area. The community also enthusiastically supports
academic and sports activities of the West Grand School District. |
