The Transit Advisory Committee was formed in September 1999 to complete the following tasks:

1)    Obtain 2001-2006 short-term and 2001-2020 long-term Transportation Development Programs meeting state and federal guidelines and required to get into the next funding cycle;

2)    Study existing transit service and examine any areas of unmet need for transit services;

3)    Develop coordination possibilities between existing transit providers; and

4)    Examine public acceptability of possible funding options to meet any unmet transit needs.
